Submit your photo to be published! Please send by email to ponypix7@gmail.com. Include your name, the horse or pony's name, and your age. We will post new photos every few days and use it as a prompt for a short lesson aimed at kids who are curious.

Nanci Turner Steveson is a published author who writes about horses and ponies for children. She is a contributing writer for The Equiery magazine and a specialist on equine health matters.

A horse-girl since the age of three, Nanci managed several large equestrian centers and an Arabian horse breeding farm. The job of her heart has always been teaching children to ride and sharing her love of the written word. Her favorite students are the kids who show up with a carrot in one hand and a book in the other.

Nanci is also the founder of The Literacy for Hope Project (www.literacyforhope.org), a non-profit organization designed to get books into the hands of the homeless.
